Marsh Kitchen & Bath Featured in Traditional Home MagazinePosted:
Marsh Kitchen & Bath was honored to be part of a dramatic kitchen makeover at the Terry House in High Point, North Carolina. Marsh Kitchens designer Melanie Plotkowski designed the layout and specified the cabinetry which serves as the foundation of the kitchen layout.
The revival of the Titanic-Era Tudor home boasts a striking, geometric kitchen aimed at modern pragmatism. Interior designer Lisa Mende described the kitchen as one “for real cooks,” and planned the design around contemporary amenities. Surrounding the appliances are Marsh Kitchen’s Savannah cabinets, painted a handsome Onyx black and adorned with brushed-brass hardware. The origins of the Terry House contributed significantly to the design of this kitchen, taking inspiration from the Art Deco movement which swung into popularity at the time of the home’s erection. You’ll see the monochromatic theme and Deco spirit of this kitchen in the remodel photos below.
The brass accents also tie into the lighting over the supper table, bringing style to the dining experience from start to finish.
The geometric Deco approach has a contemporary edge around the range. Copper kitchenware shines like art among the stark black-and-white surfaces.
The shaker-style cabinets truly bring height to the room, particularly with their vertical hardware.
From top to bottom, Marsh Savannah cabinets draw the eye across the length of this revitalized kitchen, making this home well worthy of its featured spot in Traditional Home Magazine.
